How to play Spot the Difference
Two pictures sit side by side: the Original on the left and the Changed version on the right. Each is a sunny landscape with clouds, balloons, stars and birds in the sky and houses, trees and flowers on the grass. Five things are different: an object might be missing, recoloured, moved, or made bigger or smaller. Tap a difference in either picture and it's circled in both.
You start with 90 seconds. Each difference found scores 100 points. Find all five for a 50-point bonus, 15 extra seconds and a fresh pair of pictures. A wrong tap costs 2 seconds, and the Hint button (or H key) circles one difference for three seconds at a cost of 5. When time runs out, the game ends.
Tips
- βΈCheck colours first. A colour change is the most common kind of difference, so compare objects one at a time.
- βΈA moved object counts in both places, so tapping either its old spot or its new one will find it.
- βΈDon't tap at random: each miss costs 2 seconds, and a few of those add up faster than one 5-second hint.
- βΈSave hints for the last difference in a round. Finishing the round wins back 15 seconds.
Spot the Difference FAQ
- Are the puzzles different every time?
- Yes. Each round builds a new scene and picks five new changes at random, so every round is a new puzzle.
- What kinds of differences are there?
- Four kinds: an object removed, an object in a different colour, an object moved to a new spot, or an object made bigger or smaller.
- Is there a time limit?
- Yes, it starts at 90 seconds. Finishing a round adds 15, a wrong tap removes 2 and a hint removes 5. At zero you see your score and how many rounds you solved.
