How to play Memory Match

Memory Match deals face-down cards, each hiding an emoji that appears on exactly two cards. Turn over two cards per move. Matching pairs stay face up and turn green; others flip back after a short look, so remember where each picture was. The game ends when every pair has been found.

Choose Easy (4x3, 6 pairs), Medium (4x4, 8 pairs) or Hard (6x5, 15 pairs). The clock starts on your first flip. Your score starts at 1000 and loses 10 points per move and 2 per second, then is multiplied by 1.5 on Medium and 3 on Hard. Fewer moves and less time mean a higher score.

Tips

  • β–ΈMake the first card of each move one you haven't seen yet. If it matches a card you remember, go straight for its partner.
  • β–ΈWork through the grid row by row instead of at random, so you know which areas you've already seen.
  • β–ΈName the pictures to yourself, like 'rocket, top left'. Saying them helps you remember.
  • β–ΈDon't rush: a move costs 10 points but a second only 2.
